Since noble orchards are not expected without high quality seedlings, therefore in designing varieties and subjects, beside the good appearance and taste of the fruit, the resistance of seedlings to viruses and diseases is also a major factor.

It is best to plant most fruit trees in October, but it is advisable to plant apricots and peaches in spring, because they hardly handle the cold. The most favorable tree planting season is autumn, because trees have more time to get rooted than in spring, and they can also use the winter percipitation. It is very important to prepare the soil and the appropriate soil. Various fruit trees are of different colors and quality, therefore we should observe it during planting. The spring planting time of fruit trees - if it isn’t frosted – is the month of February.

For the planting of fruit trees it’s usually necessary to dig a 1x1m area with a depth of 1m. We only cut the damaged roots ande leave all the healthy ones. When planting fruit tree saplings, make sure that the vaccine is always above the soil. Planted tree and plant irrigation helps rooting. If the planted fruit saplings have fruit after flowering remove them from it because they weaken the growth of the saplings.

Use a protective mesh around the trunks of non-enclosed gardens for wild boars, who prefer to chew on the poor seedlings at winter.

Subject is the plant to which another plant is inoculated, to get together and live with it.

Generally fruit types are reproduced asexually, because their breed type can only be preserved safely. The most widespread mode of asexual reproduction is vaccinating or grafting, when the rod or bud of the noble breed is inoculated onto the root of some kind of rooted wood that best suits the purpose.

The subject can only be the kind of that ensures the sprouting an coexistence of the planted crop. The subject varieties have different impacts on the ragged noble development. They are strong (wild) and weakgrowing (dwarf) subjects. To select a subject, consider:

- the kind of noble fruit tree to be planted on,
- the desired tree shape
- the soil properities,
- the climate.

For a subject, it is usually used by a near wild relatives (mascara) of that noble breed (e.g. apple and cider). It is a requirement for a subject to have good affinity with respect to the noble breed, that is to combine more perfectly with the flow of moisture and nutrient trace in the perfect and unobtrusive way. Subjects come mostly from seeds, but they can also be cloned.
